Try these savory options: to serve with beef, combine 1/2 cup fresh horseradish with 2 cups apple sauce. For pork or chicken, add 2 tablespoons of honey , zest of one lime, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger and 1/2 teaspoon curry powder to 2 cups of applesauce.
